#Pledge4Pink 2022 Campaign

The #Pledge4Pink campaign strives to raise awareness of cancer and creates a platform for individuals and entities to work towards a common goal, to light a candle of hope for everyone that has been affected and living with cancer.

Cricket Namibia together with partners brings you the second edition of the #Pledge4Pink campaign scheduled to kick off with the first event on the 4th of September 2022. The #Pledge4Pink Campaign is in partnership with APS, Pupkewitz Motors, and MTC Windhoek Fashion Week.

Cricket Namibia is hosting one of the best from both South Africa and Pakistan; DP World Lions and Lahore Qalandars during the Global T20 Namibia tournament. The double header on Sunday, 4 September will be APS Pink Day, bringing together the Namibian community to raise awareness of cancer in support of the Cancer Association of Namibia fighting the disease in the country.

Fans are encouraged to show their support by sharing #Pledge4Pink on social media and to dress up in pink as Lahore Qalandars take on DP World Lions in the morning and Richelieu Eagles close out the day against South African neighbours in the evening.

The #Pledge4Pink campaign brings health, sports, and fashion together in a Pink Ball evening with MTC Windhoek Fashion Week. The Pink Ball is scheduled to take place on the 15th of October at Safari Hotel where our local designers will exhibit and showcase fashion trends on a runway. The prestigious event will conclude with designer dresses being auctioned off to support the cause.

Cricket Namibia and the Pupkewitz Motors team challenge the public to take on the ultimate pink golf challenge by playing 18 holes on the 18th of November 2022. The Pupkewitz Motors Pink Golf Day will conclude the annual #Pledge4Pink campaign which will mainly focus on raising funds and awareness of cancer in our country through fourball entries and an auction.

Cricket Namibia is inviting the general public and entities to be part of the #Pledge4Pink campaign by dressing up in pink, sharing resources, donating materials, assisting in arranging and planning the events, or sharing social media posts to spread the word.

We would like to express our gratitude to Cricket Namibia partners for supporting the campaign and our media partner, Future Media for availing us of airtime to promote this exciting initiative.

Cricket Namibia is challenging entities, schools, and individuals to dress up in pink at work and post on social media with the HASHTAG #Pledge4Pink to raise awareness of cancer in our country.
