Namibia’s National team played KwaZulu–Natal in the Sunfoil 3-day match at the coastal town of Walvis Bay from the 24th – 26th November 2016. Both teams are in Pool B. On day one Namibia won the toss and elected to bat. Scoring a very low 1st innings total of 198/all out, KZN Inland 1st innings replied with 402/all out which had Namibia on the Backfoot. The Namibia’s 2nd innings got off to a poor start after being 2/29 after 10.1 overs, an outstanding partnership between MG Erasmus and CG Williams off 199 runs sparked a tremendous fight back and thus ending the match in a draw on the final day of play.

Namibia vs KwaZulu-Natal Inland CSA 1 day Challenge
The Namibian national team also played in a 1 day (50 overs) match where they played against KwaZulu-Natal. The one day match took place in Walvis Bay, Namibia at the Sparta recreational club on the 27 November 2016. The match started off well with SJ Baard with 60 runs before he was bowled out and LP van der Westhuizen with 56 runs before he was caught. I Khan of KZN Inland was determined to catch up with the Namibians, thus him scoring a run of 76 but got caught by Namibia’s LP van der Westhuizen and bowled out by SF Burger. Namibia won this match by 18 runs.
