Cricket Namibia is pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Cloete as the National Men’s Coach Understudy.
Cricket Namibia CEO Johan Muller says CN is positive towards the National Coach Understudy program. “We believe in the upliftment of people through skill development and exposure and this program provides just that. Gareth is a dynamic person who has been involved in coaching for quite some time. I am very sure he will develop in our team environment, but also contribute to the quality of the training.”
National Men Headcoach Pierre De Bruyn expressed his excitement to have Gareth on the team. “I am very excited and positive about this step. This is a very big opportunity for Gareth to use this platform for his own development to grow as a coach. I look forward to welcoming him to the team.”
Gareth has been part of Cricket Namibia’s journey in growing the game of cricket in our country. Gareth added, “I am excited about the opportunity afforded to me. I have been involved with cricket for the past 27 years and I see this as a culmination of my life’s work and dedication to the game. It’s an honor to be recognized for my contributions to cricket in Namibia.”
