6 Nations U19 Girls – Botswana

Cricket Namibia’s U19 Ladies Team departure to Gaborone Botswana where they will compete in a 6 Nations International Cup from 24 – 27 August. The prestigious Tournament took off last year as a 8 Nations International U19 Girls Tournament where an abundance of talent was portrayed. It’s unfortunate that recently Sierra Leone and Malawi withdrew due to unforeseen circumstances and will not be participating. The participants this year Namibia , Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Swaziland , Gauteng RSA.

On the 24 August 2017 – Namibia U19 vs Zambia U19 at BCA Gaborone. Namibia won by 98 runs, Ester Simeon Player of the Match with her 73 runs.

On the 25 August 2017 – Namibia U19 vs Swaziland U19. Swaziland won the toss and elected to bat first. Swaziland made 46 runs and was bowled out in 15.2 overs . Namibia reached the target in 6.3 overs. Man of the match award to Namibia – Lea Gomaxas for her 2 wickets in 2 overs and only 2 runs!

One the 26 August 2017 – Namibia U19 vs Mozambique U19. Namibia won the toss and elected to bat first. Namibia made 154/2 great partnership of 138 between Wilka Mwatile and Wilme Els. Namibia won by 30 runs. Player of the match Wilme Els 48/63 not out and with bowling 2/27 in 4 overs.

One the 27 August 2017 – Namibia U19 played two matches. vs Gauteng U19. Namibia won the toss and elected to bat. Made 90/5. Gauteng reached

Namibia U19 vs Gauteng U19. Namibia won the toss and elected to bat. Made 90/5. Gauteng reached target in the 7th over and won by 9 wickets. Good batting performance by Ester Simeon Namibia with 54 from 66 balls , not out.
