With great excitement and pleasure, Cricket Namibia introduces the annual XCO & APS Junior Cricket tournament.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cricket Namibia is uncertain about the possibility of hosting the Walvis Bay Salt Refiners tournament this year. Although the Salt refiners may not take place this year, it will still be ongoing next year and that the APS & XCO tournament does not replace the Salt Refiners Annual tournament.
The annual XCO & APS JUNIOR CRICKET TOURNAMENT for u/11 and u/13’s will take place from 21 to 25 August 2020 in Windhoek and will be sponsored by XCO Namibia & APS
Team Entries:
• Teams consist of 11 players can enter
• Teams consist of 6-8 players can enter for six-a-side games and combined games.
• Fixtures will be arranged to maximise playing opportunities.
Important detail: (Schools will get preference)
• Teams can enter from :
- Schools
- Clubs
- Private Academies
- Individually / Private Entities. A player may play for a specific team if he/she turns 11 or 13 in that respective calendar year or younger (1 Jan – 31 Dec).
• Bye laws to be adapted to increase opportunities for all players.
• 1 umpire per game will be provided by Cricket Namibia and therefor the coach of the fielding side will stand square leg
• Scoring method will be Electronic. Two scorers per game. Home Team will score electronic and second team’s scorer will do book / paper scoring.
• Official opening will be on Friday 21 August 2020 – 18h30. Teams need to arrive by 18h00.
• All teams that enter will be liable for their own transport, accommodation, water & all meals.
• Registration forms will be distributed in due time
• The entry fee towards the tournament is N$ 800.00 per team and can be paid to the account of:

Team – XCO & APS TOURNAMENT
Summary of team’s responsibility:
- Transport, accommodation, meals, 1 umpire and 1 scorer per team.
Expenses by Tournament Administrators: - Balls, 1x umpire per game, match preparation, fields, prize giving
