The time has come for the Namibian U19 National team to tour in preparation for the fast approaching World Cup in January of 2018 that will be held in New Zealand. The team is excited to make their way to Europe and are thrilled to finally to put to use the skills that they have acquired form their last international encounters vs Zim U19, which were also in preparation of the world cup in 2018. The U19’s will be away for two weeks (From the 1st to the 15th July 2017) where they are set to travel to England and thereafter to Scotland, we believe these are going to be thrilling series to watch as with the question on everyone’s mind is, has the team been preparing enough for the event that will soon steal the whole cricketing world’s attention? And all we can do is hope for the best and believe in the team that is getting the young boys ready for this big moment in these boys and Cricket Namibia’s timeline.
The U19 will play 50 over format matches, in England they will face MCC young Cricketers on the 04 July, Club Cricketers Conference on the 06 July and Surrey Combined on the 07 July 2017. These matches will take place in London on the Stafford CC and Watford CC fields, the Namibian team will then depart to Scotland on the 09 July. In Scotland the Namibian team will up against the Scotland’s U19 and will have a line up of matches as from the 11,12 & 14 July on the New William Field in Stirling, Scotland and the team is to return to Namibia on the 15th July 2017.
We wish them all good luck!
