About Pupkewitz Megabuild
Pupkewitz Megabuild’s journey began in 1904 when Max Pupkewitz opened a wagon-building shop in Okahandja, followed by a general dealership in Ausspannplatz in 1925. In 1946, his son Harold established the Pupkewitz Builders’ Merchant, focusing on building and engineering supplies. Guided by the ethos, “The goal is not to live forever, but to create something that will,” the Pupkewitz brand steadily expanded across Namibia.
In 2007, we reached a significant milestone with the acquisition of Builders Warehouse, a specialist shop in Katutura, Windhoek, offering a comprehensive range of building materials and turnkey solutions. Recognizing the evolving needs of our customers, we embraced change and, in 2014, launched MegaBuild Lifestyle—a premier shopping experience that redefined the concept of a hardware store. This innovative space offers an inspiring array of products, from gardening essentials to home appliances, proving that traditional hardware stores can be so much more.
Today, Pupkewitz Megabuild operates multiple retail outlets across Namibia, including Spectiles and Megaboards, providing quality materials and exceptional service to local contractors and builders.
Our commitment to community development remains at the forefront of our mission, and we look forward to continuing to uplift our communities and contribute to the prosperity of Namibia.
