Namibia remains in the top spot

NAMIBIA maintained their unbeaten start to the season when they thrashed Boland by an innings and 54 runs in their Sunfoil 3-Day Cup match on Saturday.

Namibia scored a massive 531 for eight wickets declared in their first innings and then dismissed Boland for 362 and 115 to complete a great victory. It was Namibia’s third consecutive victory which sees them stretching their lead at the top of the log to 67,68 points. KwaZulu Natal and Border, who both have a match in hand on Namibia, follow on 38,88 and 38,08 points respectively.

On Sunday, in the CSA One Day Challenge match at the Wanderers ground JEAN Bredenkamp was the star of the show as Namibia comfortably beat Boland by 121 runs. Bredenkamp scored a career-best 164 not out to steer Namibia to an imposing 323 for nine wickets off their 50 overs.
