  1. Cricket Namibia Grounds man – National Nets & Pitches

An exciting career opportunity for the position of Groundsman – National nets & pitches in the Namibia staff structure.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the building and maintaining of all cricket pitches under Cricket Namibia’s jurisdiction and be in full control of the National training facility.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must:
• Experience in building and maintaining turf cricket pitches.
• Experience in providing winter treatment and maintenance to turf pitches.
• Understand how to prepare turf pitches for training.
• Able to repair cricket netting.
• Must be able to function individually with no supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Watering, cutting and rolling of National training facility.
• Repairing of netting and net structure.
• Cleaning and marking of synthetic nets.
• Cutting, watering and preparing run-ups
• Building of new turf pitches when and where required.
• Winter treatment of all turf pitches under Cricket Namibia jurisdiction.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
The position will report directly to the National coach and the Cricket Namibia Operations manager.

2. Cricket Namibia Grounds man – General

An exciting career opportunity for the position of Grounds man – General in the Namibia staff structure.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the general maintenance of Cricket Namibia facilities.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must:
• Be willing to construct physical labour and work outside for most of the day.
• Be able to do grass mowing, weed removal, general watering and operate a pitch roller.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Watering, cutting and weeding of the Doc Jubber cricket facility.
• Cleaning of surrounding grass and weeds.
• Prepare all match-day arrangements
• Pitch preparations for matches at Doc Jubber.
• Assist with match-day operations at any other venue as per required.
The position will report directly to the National coach and the Cricket Namibia Operations manager.

3. Cricket Namibia Grounds man – Administration & machinery

An exciting career opportunity for the position of Grounds man – Administration & machinery in the Namibia staff structure. This position is a part-time position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all administration duties relating to any facility, tournament and maintenance of all equipment under the auspice of Cricket Namibia.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must:
• Experience in repairing and maintenance of general machinery.
• Able to handle administrative duties of planning, organisation and communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Computer literacy; specifically on Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to plan proactively for forthcoming events.
• Be able to construct an equipment facility and maintenance plan for all equipment and facilities under Cricket Namibia’s jurisdiction.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to service and repair basis mechanical problems on grass cutting and operational equipment.
The position will report directly to the Cricket Namibia Operations manager.
