Day 2 of the Women’s week was exciting cricket and highlighted the promising young talent in the country.
Two Namibian international players Kayleen Green and Yasmeen Khan dominated with the bat against Outjo 1, scoring 91 (51)and 90 (48) both undefeated. Another Namibian international Wilka Mwatile showed her value as an alrounder scoring 65 (48) and taking 3 wickets for 11 runs in 4 overs against Pro-ed 1.
Another stalwart for the National team Irene van Zyl showed her class with the ball when she took the first 5 wicket haul of the tournament against Outjo 1 without conceding a run.Good bowling performances came from promising youngsters Riani Esterhuizen from Pro-ed 2 with 4-0-9-3.
