Women’s cricket and girls development are at the forefront of Cricket Namibia’s vision and strategy for the next two years. We have started with some wonderful initiatives which are gaining momentum. More girls are starting to play cricket and various opportunities are created for them to participate.
In order to ensure maximum absorption of players in programs and maximizing events, we do require the assistance of a Women’s Committee. Our National Women’s Coach will still drive all programs, but require assistance with communication channels and general logistics of festivals and events. The Women’s Committee will run as a support committee to the Cricket Namibia Board.
Nomination process:
- Only members of Cricket Namibia can nominate any person. Members include active clubs, Schools Committees, Coaches Association Committee, Umpires Committee, Scorer’s committee and Veterans committee.
- Any person with a passion and commitment towards girls and women’s cricket can be nominated.
