Cricket Namibia Launch Supporters and Equipment Range

Cricket Namibia has announced the official launch of their equipment and supporters gear on Wednesday, 15 April 2020. Cricket Namibia has made a step to turn the Namibian cricket team supporters dreams into a reality, and can now express their ultimate fan loyalty.

During this COVID-19 pandemic, sales and distribution will commence and communicated after lock-down has been lifted. On-line sales and event-based selling will be the main methods of distribution. Our webpage will display all visual images of the different ranges and will be used as a communication platform to access information regarding sales and distribution.

Cricket Namibia President, Dr.Rudie Van Vuuren: “It is with great excitement and pride that Cricket Namibia is launching its supporters gear. The achievements of our senior men’s team in qualifying for the T20 World Cup in Australia and their consistent good performances in the ICC CWC ODI have sparked new excitement and interest in cricket as a sport in Namibia. The launching of our supporters gear aims to further stimulate public interest, create a sense of belonging, build the Cricket Namibia brand and grow cricket among all Namibians.”

Cricket Namibia CEO, Johan Muller: “The purpose of creating the range of supporters gear is two-fold. The importance of building awareness and grow the brand of The Eagle’s, as our National Men and Women’s teams. The second is to create high-quality equipment at affordable prices to enable young players to enter the game. Our replica shirt is the same design, worn by The Eagles during the World Cup Qualifier in October. The supporters shirt offers a quality T-shirt that aligns the Eagles brand in a more fashionable design. The cricket bats range is developed in partnership with a highly respected manufacturing company and by cutting out the middle-man, we can supply the bats at very affordable prices. We are proud of the fact that all designs are customized for our brand.”

“I want to thank our three partners for their expertise, professionalism, and commitment in this project. Mike and Melvin from Bellingham & Smith have gone out of their way to design a bat that aligns with their high-quality reputation and fit our purpose. The same must be said of Heinrich and Theo from IXU, our technical partner, and Christo and his team from XCO Namibia. I truly want to thank each of them for making this a reality. “
